Design Insights LLC is an intellectual property (IP) consulting firm devoted to idea conception related to mechanical or electromechanical systems, invention development, and application filing at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
The company principal is Dave I. Ellingson. He is a product development executive with extensive experience and leadership. He is known for delivering profitable innovation and has a passion for invention develoment.
He had a 30 year career with Maytag Corporation and held the position of Senior Director, Research and Development. He also worked 9 years with Electrolux Corporation and held the position of Director, Primary R&D.
Mr. Ellingson holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering with post graduate studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is a registered patent agent with the USPTO and a registered professional engineer in the state of Iowa.
